17 things to do for Pakistan to be awesome!

My 17 point plan for Pakistan. If this is done, Pakistan will rise to unseen hights. Rational thought guarantees it.

1) Pakistan should default and declare bankruptcy.

2) The govt should say that it will not pay back a penny of loans because of foreign interference in out internal affairs for the past 60+ years.

3) Food exports should be banned unless it can be proved that the food has been unused and unneeded for over a year in state controlled warehouses.

4) Nuclear reactors should pop up everywhere to produce more electricity than we need. State owned.

5) Basic necessities should be abundant and cheap. like wheat, water, energy etc. The state should invest in this.

6) Banks should be told to get lost. And a state managed financial storage should be setup.

7) Income and sales tax should be the first to be finished as they are logically stupid to say the least and outright evil things.

8) Real Alims (Islamic scholors) who know economics, science, history, etc should replace the existing mullas in parliament. Make a house of representative out of them. We call ourselves islamic republic. lets have modern experts who also know islam in the ruling system.

9) Who ever wants a secular capitalist country should be deported to india since theoretically these people are opposing the partition bases on two nation theory.

10) Make universities and sports centers out of all govt official palaces as well as parliement houses etc.

11) Let the people elect an executive head of state with no legislative rather only implementing powers after a month of media covered debates on their plans for pakistan. The people should see candidates debating on how they are going to make pakistan a world leader in 5 years or less. The people arent stupid. they can make the correct decision. Give them a chance. Call this guy head of state, khalifa, imam, president, whatever you want.

12) The armed forces should be responsible for this election and making sure this happens efficiently.

13) Members of the house of representative scholars, should have to live in their original cities in a middle class housing area without any guards or protection. They should have to earn security from the support of the common man. The can attend govt sessions on the phone. To wasting money on traveling to Islamabad all the time.

14) The head of state should be easily removable from power if the highest judge in the country gives proof-based verdict that he has done harm to national interest willfully.

15) Privatization of things like refineries, energy supply and other basic needs should be banned by constitution. These should be state owned/run and military protected.

16) End all coal, gol, copper etc mining contacts with foreign companies. This should also be done by the state and should be un constitutional to privatize mineral assets or any such produce like oil or gas.

17) The military should enforce the implementation of the constitution with respect to all points above wile staying out of politics.

On Your 17 Points

1) This is no escape. America virtually declared bankruptcy when it put "the window on the gold" in Nixon's era .. rufusing to give gold against dollars to france. [see nixon's shock : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nixon_Shock]

2) Its not like running away from Mamu Pan Shop's udhar. Where would we go?
We cant pay our debts for like another gazillion years, but we can keep saying we will do it pretty soon .. that way, richer countries will keep giving us loans and bheeks at the cost of our dignity (which we already dont have)

3) Exports are the only real source of revenue for any state. For Pakistan, food is the only thing that CAN be exported. If we dont do it, we will fall even sooner.

4) With the world already alarmed that Pakistani Nukes can fall into wrong hands.. its next to impossible that we will be able to start something like this.

5) With India controlling our waters we already have seen a wheat crisis.
We already know the energy crisis in our country. With people making political issues out of dam constructions .. saying that 'Energy should be abundant' is like saying Haiti will win the next Cricket world cup.

6) Easier said than done. Having no Banks for even a day means total economic halt. We need a separete thread to discuss this one.

7) I would appreciate if u share the logic which makes them stupid. If u meant religiously its not allowed, then i have no intentions to debate. But i would sure like to know the logic to tag it out right stupid.

8) Kool Enuff... as long as they are well versed in modern aspects

9) Pakistan is as much a " secular capitalist country " as india. Jinnah said pakistan would be a state where ' a hindu ceased to be a hindu and a muslim ceased to be muslim .. not in the religious terms but in political terms' (or something like that)

10) We DO need govt official buildings to run state affairs... they cant be run from a char pai like in a punchait in a village ... but if u mean that the buildings should be simple and not a burden on national budget... i agree

11) copying the american presidential debat ... I think that is exactly what GEO did ..

12) that is not what Armed Forces are for.. I will like armed forces to play CS with me when i get bored.

13) It can be foreign powers that want a politican executed.. most probably WHEN he does has the support of the common men around him .. they do need protections .. c'mon...

14) And who will keep checks on this Judge? [or would he be the dictator in disguise?]

15) Kool enuff...

16) We can pay them to dig it for us ...

17) Thats what they all take oath on ...

Lets debate bro :)

1) "This is no escape" <----I think it is an escape. we should declare that we arent giving back anyones money. they can keep asking. A son doesnt hve to pay back a loan his father took. the father took the loan, get it from him. similarly IMF and world bank can get it from officials of previous governments. We got nothing out of it so we are not paying back. They knew the govt wouldnt be able to pay back. The only want the interest. They have to pay for their irresponsible lending spree.

2) "Where would we go?" <--- we dont need to go anywhere. they can try to collect by force if they can. We will see what they can do. They cant control more than a few cities in Afghanistan, so Pakistan should prove impossible. Note that this is a post revolution scenario, and impossible with the current government which wants even ISI and army to be finished.

3) "Exports are the only real source of revenue for any state. For Pakistan, food is the only thing that CAN be exported. If we dont do it, we will fall even sooner." <-- food is not the ONLY yhing we can export. again post revolution. Pakistan has the potential for everything anyone else has. We can export clothing, food, marble, salt, coal, oil, diamonds, etc etc. By the way, i didnt say we wont export, only after we have one year stock and we are sure that a certain quantity is not going to be required by our people. No harm in exporting the leftovers. Unlike the left overs we get right now and the best gets exported.

4) "With the world already alarmed that Pakistani Nukes can fall into wrong hands.. its next to impossible that we will be able to start something like this." <--- The world can keep talking. If every country shuts down its nuclear plants then we will talk. otherwise a post revolution progressive government can do this.
Im talking hypothetical bro, not on current state.

5) "With India controlling our waters we already have seen a wheat crisis." <-- no its because we didnt destroy the dam after failure of negotiations.

"With people making political issues out of dam constructions" <-- these people are either traitors or dumb. post revolution government will not listen to them.

6) "Easier said than done. Having no Banks for even a day means total economic halt. We need a separete thread to discuss this one." <--- a difficult solution does not mean one keeps staying with the problem.
if operating on a tumor is difficult is is still tried and not left to continue its distuction. The rehabilitation perios might be long and tough but its still better than the tumor which would surely have been fatal :)

7) "I would appreciate if u share the logic which makes them stupid. If u meant religiously its not allowed, then i have no intentions to debate. But i would sure like to know the logic to tag it out right stupid." <--- 'A' works and earns and 'B' doesnt, is 'A' being punished for working? for earning a living?
sales tax is same, taxing someone for buying something or for the industry for producitng product. it is logcally similar to discouraging buying and selling.

9) Pakistan is as much a " secular capitalist country " as india. <--- wont be post-revolution :)
Jinnah has supported sharia too but those statements never get heard in the media. Even if he did, this wasnt the ideology of pakistan, as it is not different from india if it is to be secular. partition becomes senseless then. I dont think millions of muslims gave scrifices for just a border. they did it for hope of a different system.

10) We DO need govt official buildings to run state affairs... they cant be run from a char pai like in a punchait in a village ...
<-- state can be run from simple buildings with '0' spending on lavishness.

11) "copying the american presidential debat ... I think that is exactly what GEO did" <--- not copying american debate becuase they also talk in vague terms. im talking about clear plans step by step. and GEO didnt do any such thing. Zardari was never seen in a debate with anyone.

12) "that is not what Armed Forces are for" <--- not always, but when no one else can guarantee it who better than the strongest most disciplined organization? id like to see army only have to protect borders too and everyone be in reserves but thats not what is happening either brother.

13) "It can be foreign powers that want a politican executed.. most probably WHEN he does has the support of the common men around him" <--- if htey can afford it, great... maybe their supporters int eh area would like to volunteer to protect their beloved politician who actually is accessible and does something for them.

14) "And who will keep checks on this Judge?" <--- the civilians and head of state can challenge the dudge's verdict if they can prove he has given a false verdict. Im still working on this concept however. :P

17) "Thats what they all take oath on" <-- and this is what they will actually do post revolution inshallah.

:) o brother ...

before we start to debate .. u should stop living in a "post revolution" eutopia ...

Imran Suhail Ashraf said...

Awwwww... why? Isn't positive thinking and 'expecting' good things to happen a way to influence positive behaviors and efforts?

Law of attraction and stuff like that :P

If we don't know where we are going, how can the journey be planned?

u can argue on the present and the world we live in today .. if we start talking on assumtions about future .. then its an endless debate..

here.. i see a future where life is discovered on Mars and those aliens are getting their act together to invade earth.. all the earth gets united .. defeat the Martian Morons .. and everyone lives happily ever after ... :P
